Time for a new ISP

At least the contract term with Be is short enough that if you have a problem you won't have too much hassle getting a MAC and getting away.

True for most of their products yes but the OP was talking about their lowest package, which has a 12 month contract. Obviously the thing to do is to sign up for one of the higher products and then downgrade if you decide to stick with them (Though there might be a downgrade fee to pay in this case - I've not been with Be for a while so I'm not sure anymore).

Well i think i shall go with the Unlimited package as it does have the lower contract length. How smooth do you think the transition would be and what other precautions should one take when changing ISP's? How long will it take? Anything i can do to make sure the transition goes as smoothly as possible?

Thanks again guys.

The migration should be fairly painless. Old ISP stops working, wait a bit, Be starts working. The middle step shouldn't take more than an hour (and will almost certainly take much less), but it's a manual process.

My bad, missed that - it's still shorter than, say, TalkTalk though (and you don't have to get the voice service back to BT if you want to leave too) :p

If you decide to stick around, it might be worth considering a move to O2 as well - same network, 12 month term, cheaper if you get the deal some O2 staff are offering on here.

Ah ok. Now with regards my old ISP, plusnet. How long will our email addresses with them stay active? This is one of the main problems as my mother uses hes for her business.

For this reason we are now all going to start using my domain name for emails as this wont change every time we get a new isp!
