well i'm planning to build a pc fairly soon....Problem is..I really have no idea what to buy, because I cant tell what compatible with what.

I would preferably want a quad core, and a 8800 :) , and this will be a gaming rig :). I would also like to try some overclocking too, but possibly without the water cooling (aint that brave yet :P

my budget is around about £1500 on the tower itself, i've already got the other stuff ( monitor etc etc ), so any help with be much appreciated :)

there is the new 8800GTS comming out soon, so you could wait for that as it should be faster then the current 8800GTX.
 
Is this new GTS available on pre-order on the OCs website?, been lookin around can't seem to find it :S

Also, is there any point going down the SLI route?

Also, what this I see about 10000 rpm hard drives :o? Any noticable difference?

Yea i've already seen that... but was a bit surprised at the 3d mark recorded for crysis for the new gts? surely its ment to be higher?
