Evening all really getting the itch now to replace my current rig which is about 4/5 years old now.

Current build is a 3570k with Z77X-D3H 6950 Graphics card, 500gb 850 evo and 1tb HD103sj
case is a corsair 550D and monitor is a Samsung syncmaster p2450.

Looking to get more or less a complete new build really. the psu in this setup is from the one before so is getting on now. I think the only thing that could go across is the ssd.

Mainly looking to game but also watch videos so ideally would need it to be as quiet as possible. Games i will be playing is Cities skylines, flight sims and Battlefield 1.

Budget would be looking at £1.2k for the pc and maybe upgrade the monitor in a couple of months.

Thank you.

Most will say just upgrade the GPU ! If you don't want to go this route and save cash....

Then full rebuild minus SSD . Save cash buy keeping your case. 1080p 144hz monitor has been added along with gtx 1070gtx to run 1080p over 60hz and at ultra !
Lastest ryzen chip/board as well

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,192.62 (includes shipping: £14.70)

Sure others can spec Intel or lower the budget or suggest a good card+ monitor combo keeping your current system

Thank you. would I need to get anything extra to make it run as quiet as possible?

key being the brands name

As quiet as possible, eh? Check out the PC in my sig. The only fan in my PC is the one on the GPU and that only works when I'm gaming and thus have my headphones on.

So started to get some biys for my build bought the above case and PSU. Think I am going to go down the 2700x route maybe it might be wasted on but looking build it and use it for hopefully 5 years. Just no idea what to go for a cooler really.

Platform is upgradeable so in 4/5 years just slap in 2nd hand zen2 and should push out another 2 haha .

Above looks solid, if you can, pump up to 8Packs 3200kit ram . Just as bios matures should be able to overclock, it's Samsung BDie and has tighter timings
