recently i upgraded my pc to a 3570k and msi z77a-g45 motherboard and now i want to upgrade my graphics cards (2x hd5770's)

i want to be able to run the latest games at respectable framerates 1080p
games like farcry 3 crysis 3 maybe bf3 and whatever else is likely to come out in the near future.
I have about £200 to spend but MIGHT be able to stretch a little firther if neccessary. so really i would just like the opinions here on what card would suit me.

been looking at the 7870 tahiti le cards or maybe a 7950?

thanks,
smithy ;)

As above, both are good. It just depends how much you're prepared to spend. The Gigabyte 7950 is one well worth considering if you do decide on a 7950.

thanks, the thing im considering now is the useable life of the card, as in how long before it is obsolete. will this be the similair for both cards or will there be a much longer performance life for the 7950?
i dont really intend to do any multi monitor gaming (i do have 2 monitors but only use one to game) so would i see any benefit of the 3gb 7950 over the 2gb 7870?

thanks

You'll still get very good frame rates with any of the 7800's at that res. A 7950 isn't essential, so if you want to save a little, then a 7850 / 70 / XT will serve you very well. :)

Just make sure the card has at least 2gb of memory.
