Hi Guys.

I'm looking to upgrade my computer. Not sure what is needed.

Currently

Processor - Sandy Bridge i7 Quad Core 3.6ghz
Memory - 16GB
Graphic Card - Radeon Vapor-x 280x
Motherboard - Asus P8Z77-V LX Intel Z77
Case - Corsair Carbide 330R Silent Mid Tower Case
Sound Card - Asus Xonar DG 5.1 PCI

I would look at Overclocking your cpu, Do you have a K series chip?

Edit: What red do you game at?
 
Max res is 1920 x 1080, but I'm looking @ two choices, either a new monitor or the new VSR facility for Radeon (or similar to the Geforce) Current monitor is a 3d Monitor 120 refresh rate.
 
your system seems fine for gaming

I have the I7 950 @ 4ghz and a Radeon HD 5830 which I am going to replace but apart from that I just overclocked the processor instead.

will keep it going for a bit longer before it needs replacing at some point or upgrade to something that gives you the performance worth upgrading too for the cost of it
 
Get an SSD,when the new AMD cards come out in summer thats probily gonna be a good time for you to upgrade your GPU.

Your machine is still very good for gaming atm.
