Yeah but its essentially the same thing, sets the fan back helps with air seal. Its like spacers like this haven't been available beforethats a gasket not a spacer.

ok I'm sorry, Noctua invented this, you win....no, one is about 1 to 2mm and made to seal a high static pressure fan to a rad. the other is about 6mm and made to stop turbulence when a fan is mounted next to a case grill

no they didnt, and yes i have seen them before. but its not the same as the rubber gasket its just not
It’s not. It’s the bigger space that’s stops the noise. There is a guy on YouTube that’s made a few going up 1mm at a time from 1mm to 10mm and it was only when he passed 4mm so 5+ that the noise stopped
