please stop with all these tempting deals! I'm going to make myself bankrupt!
I paid £499 last Jan for a great x34 from ocuk so i think i WIN![]()
I was going to ask what to go for between PG348Q or X34A but it sounds like there's no difference except price?
Only want it for gaming if it matters.
X34A, panel is same, Acer are just giving a far bigger discount, it is essentially back at the launch price.![]()
Agreed. I wouldn't spend 1k on any of the current monitors when the difference isn't that big vs lower priced ones, but I absolutely would spend it on the OLED TV - way better return.Or assuming you have the room... Cough up an extra £500 or so for a lovely 4K HDR OLED 55" TV
OLED's superior IQ will more than make up for the higher input lag (which either you won't notice or care for anyway, at least in single player games) and lack of gsync.
The monitor segment is milk central.
I like the look of LG's ultrawides it's just a shame that their Freesync support is not better, Practically none support LFC and none support lower than a 40hz minimum range. I'm hoping the next gen from them does better.
The Samsung at the end looks nice but again it's working range is from 48, at least it supports LFC for when it goes under that.
You can find more Freesync info on all the above Freesync models here:

Just scroll down to the bottom and use the monitors button.
