Time for some parps

I tried tinkering with things today to sneak over the 100k mark on HFM - just for laffs. Not long after this, I picked up two P6013 WUs, which are quite poor on ppd. Finally got one of them finished and picked up a P6040 (first one) and it's even worse  Worst thing is, they're really long WUs and it's on my slowest machine - it's going to be nearly two days to finish :(

Got some decent WUs now. Now showing consistently over 100k according to HFM - even with this rig still doing that silly P6040 :D

Screenshot (Link to screenshot as it's too big and resizing it makes it unreadable).

What GPUs do you have in the games machine? Seems like high ppd from them. Funny how a machine supposedly for photos is your most powerful ;)

It's a GTX295 clocked at 690/1657/1156 (core/shaders/memory).

Because I have so many PCs all Folding, I can assign specific functions to each and set them up accordingly. The photos rig was my second i7 after the gaming rig and photo editing was the only other thing I could think of that benefited from a high spec rig. TBH, I don't really need separate rigs for everything but, since I'm Folding on them, I may as well find a secondary use for them.

I noticed that last night. It'll drop back a bit today as my bigadv rigs have reached a crossover point and I won't be dumping any big WUs until after EOC's cut off tomorrow morning. I will have two in tomorrow's stats though so will pick back up again.

Edit: Also, just checked and I've hit the top 1,000 for total production according to EOC (according to Stanford, I'm at 795). Also, currently at 83rd for 24 hour ppd - not bad out of close to 30,000 active Folders :)

I've also just got this baby:

It is great the excuses folders come up with to add more hardware and then justify it! :D

Also, h'exellent tiffy, sah!

On current output, I would beat both of you and reach there in 74 days (according to EOC future estimate). However, wee beastie should be up and running before then and walls is planning on some upgrades which will reign me in again. There's also the "Stan going back to work and everything falling over" factor to consider. At the moment, all my rigs have been churning away fine for over a week but we all know what usually happens when I leave for work for a month :(

I know. My output has dropped due to giving up on Bigadv after losing 3 WUs in the course of a week - it's just not stable enough to rely on yet. I'm down to a little over 70k ppd :(

Heh funny how it feels so awful to drop down to a "mere" 75K eh? It's so frustrating when the bigadv goes wrong because it's 2 days worth of points down the drAin for nothing. At least with the A3 wus it's only a couple of hours and a few 1000 points just losing a single wu.

I'm doing them only on wee beastie because I never managed to fix the slow issue on my main rig.

Hadn't you dropped a bigadv yesterday just before me?

That's the main reason I switched back to SMP - the pain of losing two days work and close to 60k points was too much to bear.

The points I got yesterday were the recredit for the WU I didn't get credited for when the Stanford server went wrong a while back.

Also if you are "tweaking" your rig then its easy to miss the deadline when your doing a bigadv nearly did that on my first one.

Never did work out why my main rig wouldn't crunch faster than a stock i7. Weebeastie is crunching similar frame times to what I would expect. If you are interested this is my current farm.

Nice farm  Here's mine.

Quick OT question. How do you get your totals thing at the bottom on your web stats page? Mine doesn't show that. Also, your "Overview" link is tidily placed next to the summary tab whereas mine is way over at the right hand side. Is there something I can change/edit to make it look better?

You need the new version of HFM.NET I'm on v0.4.10

Nice stats! WOW those GPU's are pushing the PPD 10K each  is that a 295GTX in the games machine? Whats the bedroom gpu?

Looks like I managed to get near 100K yesterday, probably would have cracked it if not for the lack of WU's earlier in the day.

Code:
Date Points WUs
04.13.10 91,849 44

That's better - TYVM :)

It is indeed a GTX295 - clocked at 690/1657/1156 (Core/Shaders/Memory). Plays games pretty good too :D Edit: bedroom GPU is an 8800GTX )the BFG OC2 version).

It's great getting 100k in one day. It'll be a while before I get that high again but, it's something to aim for.
