I've just done a clean SL install on my MBP. It asked me do I want to enable time machine. I'm planning to restore my media from my old time machine backup, but what happens if I point my new install at the old time machine drive, will it just erase enough space to make the new back up? or erase the whole thing as the installs are essentially separate now?
