Time to have reconsider MS Edge?

Actually been using Edge over Chrome for a long time, still has a few rare bugs/issues but otherwise its been totally fine. Not gone back to Chrome.

I much prefer Vivaldi if you're considering a Chrome alternative. Encrypted data and syncs just as well as Chrome (better in fact as it includes a handy notes feature which syncs too, as well as being able to send links to other devices) as well as excellent tab management and customisation and built in tracking and ad blocking (can't remember if they're enabled by default though).

I'm loving Chromium Edge these days. It's just little things it seems to do better than Chrome now like the option of opening new web pages in a little side bar if you just need to quickly look something up or allowing PDF files to be displayed two pages side-by-side. Next reinstall of Windows 10, which needs to happen soon as my games are starting to crash randomly, I doubt I'd even bother to reinstall Chrome. I just need to get my stored passwords shifted over.

Vertical tabs are now enabled by default on v89.

I've been using Edge since it launched, at work it's great with the SSO for o365 and switched from FF at home.

It's started to grow on me since switching to chromium but the vertical tabs are not as good as Vivaldi's. Edge needs to introduce the concept of grouped tabs as that is very neat in Vivaldi.

Does it have ublock origin on android?
If not, that's the end of discussion as far as I'm concerned.

Still partnered with ABP and not very flexible. The Android version is still very behind and based on the older Chromium v77 and has been pretty stagnant for over a year. However, they have been working to unify the codebase together which should significantly improve update speeds: https://www.ghacks.net/2021/03/10/microsoft-plans-to-align-all-edge-codebases-later-this-year/

I've been using Edge at home but due to requiring you to also sign into Windows for Edge's sync to work, I had to use Vivaldi in the office instead. And for the above reasons, I'm also using Vivaldi on Android which offers more ad/tracking protection options while also on the latest Chromium base.

I'm using Firefox on Android. As far as I know it's the only Android browser that lets you install ublock origin.

There's also Kiwi browser that allows Chrome extension meaning uBo can be installed but it lacks other browser features that Firefox offers (eg sync).

Been using Edge for years too. I really like the fairly recent additions of being able to pin tabs and now tabs that have been inactive for a while, go to sleep saving some resources.
