Hi,

Got a 2008 Macbook here with cracks in 2 parts of the case (usual places). How long do Apple usually take to replace the case? Is it doable while you wait? Also I take it they still do it under warranty yeah?

Cheers,

Mike

My Macbook Pro's cover was changed in 48 hours...

Won't be done while you wait and it will be done under warranty (hopefully).

It seems some people get different luck. I've got a long apple history on my account so maybe they are abit more lenient on whats allowed.

Thanks. 48 hours isn't great right now but hopefully I'll get time to get it in.

Do Apple offer a business level warranty on the Macbook pros? Might need to reconsider at new laptop time otherwise.

48 hours is exceptional for a home user's machine, but if it's a business package you're after you'll be better off with a reseller. Many of them can offer much more comprehensive support packages (onsite, replacement machines etc). It'll cost you though. Definitely worth looking into if the machine's really important to you and your work. Apple are fantastic for what they can do instore but sometimes you need more, and that's where the resellers come in. Much more local, much more into providing that sort of service.
