Its ok for what it is but i cant see it being popular
The fact its curved means you cant double it up as a tv/movie VDU so most people would probably go for a normal flatscreen instead
great idea, and I actually like the design - just dislike the resolution with a passion (and Alienware making it vastly more expensive than it should be lol)
The only use i can see this becoming is for some World of Warcraft high tier raiders (Nihilium etc) who require half a screen of Macros, pots and spells/attacks.
Seen many rear projection screens and frankly, they are awful. Bad angles viewing angles with the colours and brightness fading depending where you sit, and the generally bad quality and lack of contrast and vibrance associated with TFT equipment.
Not to mention, simply too small a vertical res. Should have been at least 1080 for compatability, or more like 1200. It is seriously wide and the actual visual quality will suck, and require a lot of AA to remove the jaggies.
Don't get me wrong, it's a cool idea, but I can't help have the feeling the the real reason they made it curved was to ensure the screen didn't look washed out from the main sitting position.
A screen with the same resolution as my 2 x 19" setup, but with a physical size that is more like a 2 x 24" setup. Graphics are going to look really blocky on this
