Time to upgrade - Looking for advice

Just a quick question, all my parts have arrived and I'm just taking them all out now to take a look. Is it normal for external boxes not to be wrapped in cellophane? Only the PSU is wrapped and nothing else. The CPU has a visible seal (those they put on the edge so you can tell if it's been opened etc), but the motherboard and the GPU boxes have nothing so it's impossible to tell if they have been opened previously. The GPU box is torn too which is a bit of a shame with the cost of it, but no real issue.

Yes.

Unfortunately this is common, some manufacturers still seal the inner/antistatic bag, but not all of them do. I'm reasonably sure that Sapphire still seal their boxes (my last card had a seal).

Yes.

Thank you for that. Certainly puts my mind at ease. The internal antistatic bag for the GPU is sealed however the motherboard isn't, but at least it seems like a common theme. Thanks again for confirming.

Now onto prepping for building

It's taken me 3 evenings, and what I would say roughly 10-12 hours build time and many problems along the way but I can safely say I have finally finished my first ever build on my own !

My first hiccup came with plugging my case into the motherboard, the manual wasn't very clear for me to understand and it took me about 3 hours to realise where the three case cables plugged into . After that everything seemed to be smooth sailing until I tried to install windows via a usb. Finally figured out what settings I needed to change and this evening I finally have a fully functional PC. I need to mess around with the RGB but that can wait.

Just one last question, anybody got any good apps to stress test your components to make sure they are running correctly and to check the temps?

Thanks again @Tetras for helping me with the parts selection.
