Time to upgrade my 6850 I think.

So I currently have an old XFX HD6850 1GB card that has served me well but I think it's time to upgrade as I have to game on low / medium to get stable frames in newer games.

I have my eyes on battlefield 4, I will be playing it at 1080p and high / ultra but working on a budget of £140 for a GPU. I have seen the R9 270 and seems to get good reviews and stable FPS on the higher settings but I have't really been following the GPU market for a while now.

Any input would be great

This is a great deal. I have no experience with the hIS brand so cannot comment on warranty etc but should be okay.

This is the 270x version which is better than the non-x and at quite a substantial discount.

That's the cooler I'm using on my 7850, it's nice
The 270 or 270X is certainly the way to go in that price bracket.

From using my 290 and 280x, you DEFINATELY want an aftermarket cooler so its good to hear the HIS ones are good.

My 280x still reaches 80c however with the MSI twin Frozr!
