Time to upgrade?

I Currently have a 8800GT, it runs most things great but struggles a bit on GTA 4 at high res, is now a good time to upgrade or is there an awesome new card coming out soon? Thanks in advance

GTA4 is massively CPU intensive, so a graphics upgrade would probably do little for you in that game.

I'm on a 8800GTX and i'm going to go for it. Crysis,Empire total War e.t.c. run ok but really I just want them to run like butter at 1680x1050.

I have a quad core processor so thats not the problem, 8800GT only has 512MB of VRAM

If you game at say 1920 x 1200, then get a 4870 1gb/4890 1gb or a 260/275/285. I just went from a 8800GT to a 48701gb and it allows me to game with more AA and AF then before, and I can go xfire in the future.

what size monitor/resolution you running ?

is the quad core overclocked ?
