I am really just a bit bored and fancy something shiny, but in reality my current spec still performs pretty well. What do people think, could I justify an upgrade? Perhaps swap out the graphics card? or is it not really worth it.

Current specs are

i5-3570K @ 4.5ghz using a Noctua NHU12P
HIS 7950 IceQ Boost Clock 3GB @ 1100/1300 (on a 24" HP2475w)
Gigabyte Z77-D3H mobo
Samsung 120GB SSD
Patriot Viper (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9
Corsair TX 750w psu
win 8.1

I don't need uber resolution just 1900x1200.

Or should I just leave for now?
Thanks

I would say just leave it for now, 7950, 3570K and 1200p should work really well together in basically all modern games.

If you want to upgrade the graphics card you may want to wait for Nvidia's Maxwell high-end chips to come out later this year. If the performance of the GTX 750 TI is anything to go by, these GPUs will be a nice performance jump.

The only reason to upgrade hardware was if you were going for a 4K monitor. Anything else and your PC doesn't need any changes.

The only thing that might be of personal gratification and minor overclocking performance gain would be to try a custom watercooling loop but again this would be more for that ego massage rather than noticeable performance increase.

Thanks for the replies, looks like it may be worth leaving for now. I might start dropping 4k hints to my wife! 'oh my monitor is getting a bit old, we might need a new one soon'. That sort of thing....
