HI. i have a computer i built 6 years ago(wow) but have upgrading stuff on it like my ram(64gb now) and gpu(2080 ti)
IT has a core i7 5820k cpu clocked at 4ghz watercooled.
Is this cpu holding back my gpu in terms of gaming?
It does seem to get a bit slugggish when editing 42mp photos in lightroom cc so i am wondering if this is the issue?
I also use a 4k monitor so i assume me playin games at 4k may bottlekneck due to my cpu?
If i do upgrade, when will gen 2 of threadrippers come out that has USB 4 and at least 3 nvme gen 4 slots?
my mobo only had one nvme(shocked as its 6 years old) and only started using that recently as my main os drive(so that in itself was another upgrade i done)
exciting times
