Can't you get one out the factory without the wing?

Think that's the front wing that it sometimes featured. I belive it was added for some american law (height of the bonnet or something). It's looks gash though with it on imo :o

Anyway, yes it's VERY 80's! :p

911 it's truely timeless

Mk2 MR2?

Been some strange responses in here :/

I disagree strongly with the 300zx. It looks very dated to me.

Agree with the MR2 but i prefer it with a headlight conversion instead of the frog-headlamp.

I also agree with what you said about the 300zx, it is odd looking and out of place.

Considering the MK1 went up to 1989 then and the Mk2 came out in 1991 then would it be an early 90s car?
It still should look good for qute awhile though :)
The MK2 was out in 89 and was stopped in 99 so was in production for around 10 years.

IMO, adding metallic paint to cars seem to make them look a hell of a lot less dated. Don't really know why.

Only car I can really think of that looks timeless without being bland is the GT40.

A quick straw poll - is there ANYONE here who, when given a choice of one of three cars completely free would chose the Honda:

a) 1997 Honda NSX 3.0
b) 1997 Ferrari F355
c) 1997 Porsche 911

NSX

I'd agree with the OP that the Ford GT40 has timeless looks but surely a pic of the gorgeous original rather that the recent re-make would be better for this thread.

(I believe this has a MKII front on it)

That silver Countach is amazing, whilst it's far from timeless with it's 80s looks I'd still swap my left nut for one. :p
