Timeshift Demo

The DOF setting is greyed out for me and I can't turn it on. Anyone else with this problem.Also when I started the demo I was told to load the latest drivers, but I am using 163.71 which are the latest drivers? I have not started playing yet and don't think I will even bother with it now.

Tom84 I downloaded it from Gamershell I think. It was definately Timeshift. Looked different to these screenshots though, maybe it was the older version someone mentioned?

Seriously looked like a N64 game lol.
 
The same happened to the TimeShift Demo as happened to the 1st Juiced Demo, they were took over by another outfit and rewritten.

I also had the older demo and it was kinda cheesy/cartoony.
 
its all a bit shiney :( just like the unreal3 engine, but was quite fun, freezing time, running into a room killing 3 guys with a shot gun, start time again, and watch them drop to the floor :D
 
Well I had a quick game of this last night and although from the demo it doesn't look like this is going to be a BioShock beater I did quite enjoy it and would recommend the download and to be honest if it wasn't for the mass of other titles on the horizon I would proberly make the purchase of the full game when it's released
 
I remember the first demo being particularly crap, and it didn't run very well. I gave this a shot after hearing how good it was, and I was pleasantly surprised. The graphics are very crisp, and the timeshift control adds an element of fun to the gameplay.

I recommend this to people who want an alternative to COD4, and who want to test their hardware.
 
Its an awesome game... i never heard of it until browsing gamershell. Much better than anticipated. Caused my pc to BSOD tho :S, IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL STOP: 0x0000000a.

Bit odd, tis the only game to do that since ive updated gfx drivers to 7.10... reinstalled them and so far so good.

Running it maxed out on my setup in my sig. looks really bloody lovely. graphics are great.
 
Personally wasn't that impressed. I remember playing the first demo (and it stututututtterering a lot and not being very good when I got it to work) and was actually looking forward to seeing it when I first heard they were redoing it. But.. it just didn't seem to play that well, and imo the graphics are pretty ugly :confused: all a big kind of plasticy splurge
 
Out of the 3 major demos released in the last few days, timeshift is by far the best imo, so much fun to play and with superb graphics to boot. UT3 was good, but nothing new and cod4 didnt interest me, lost the soul of the previous ones. Timeshift is definately on my list!
 
Didn't anyone else feel it was a wee bit too linear? It looked slick, but there was absolutely no freedom to explore. Just one scripted event after another.
