Timeshift

Yeah - and we've got Crysis and UT3 just around the corner!

I planned to resist but I found it for £20.49 inc del so I failed!

I'm in the same boat, decided due to so much else coming out in the coming weeks to give this one a miss but after so many positive comments about it on this forum the temptation is growing :p

There is so much I want
I have ordered Gears of War and Crysis.
Then there is UT3 and Call of Duty 4 too!

Hmmm, would have loved to have played this game, but it simply won't load up on my system. Have requested refund, and will probably just wait until next weekend and buy Crysis.

They did not help me. Had them installed when first tried it, then even tried older drivers. Have tried everything.

Will wait until it is in the bargain bin, and make sure that it is patched up and working for everyone before I bother again.

I had problems last night installing and the game as it seems to be very fussy with drivers. I could not get the 169.04 Betas to work so I used the 169.04 which were fine. I also changed the overclock on my graphics card and this caused the game to not load so I had to reinstall the game. I almost gave up and I am glad that I did not as the game is a fun shooter.

Finally got this game working!

For some reason all I had to do was go into Rivatuner, and select the default settings for all. The odd thing is, I had not changed any of the settings. Only had an OC.

Anyway, am loving this game. Playing it on hardest setting and it is quite a challenge.

Personally, I think this is way better than HL2. The best single player FPS had a go at in a while.

And it looks great and runs like a dream.

I really do not understand the bad reviews. To be fair though, I wouldn’t call 70%+ bad scores. Metacritic highlights a fair amount of praise.

Not everything has to be a valve masterpiece. I think TImeshift is a great game and the developers did a grand job salvaging it from the mess it used to be back in 2006.

I just finished this game the other day and i loved it and it was actually a long single player, but maybe it's because i didn't play it all the time. I thought the graphics were really nice aswell all on max settings.

I don't understand why it didn't get good reviews i thought it was one of the best games this year. I tried multiplayer and it was ok, but it would help if there was actually more people online. The most i saw was about ten LOL....

Not sure if it was a driver problem or not (169.09), but if i wanted to change some settings in the video or control options later on...the game would freeze on me, but if i deleted the config files then it would be ok and it crashed on me during multiplayer, but it could be drivers.

Other than that single player was fine without problems, but still a great game IMO.

I completed this game a few days ago, i loved it, its a really FUN game and very addictive to just pick up and play.

Haven't got around to completing this yet, might get a chance over xmas.
Like most people, games like UT3, Crysis and COD4 have kinda stolen the limelight!

Just checked and IGN only gave it a 7.5/10

Seems there's not a lot of love around for it.

Any other year Timshift would be a top game but the competition this year has been amazing - best year for PC games ever.

Beautiful game, if a little shallow compared to the likes of Bioshock etc.

Totally agree, i haven't completed a pc game for a long time.

In the past few weeks ive completed The Witcher, COD4, Timeshift, and over half way in Bioshock.

Now this game is a beauty. Derivative of Half Life 2, FEAR and even a bit of no one Lives Forever 2 in there. Some stunning textures and with the patch applied, I'm getting 70-100 fps on 1920 res with all maxxed out. Admittedly, that's on an 8800GTX but I've got an old Nforce4 MB and an AMD 64 4000+ processor and only 2 GB of ram.
Nice AI and well balanced difficulty with the time powers you have at your disposal. Don't buy that piece of crap, Jericho. Remind yourself that gaming is fun and buy this. It'll tide you over until we get 'that other game with a suit'.

After som initial frustration this game is really beginning to grow on me. Excellent game and is currently stopping me from resuming my battle in Bioshock.
