Timings incorrect ??

Ill have to look into it. With the faulty and order i have for tomorrow I was suppose to have 8GB of this stuff 4x2gb sticks. Such a deal i couldn't resist. which i would have now seeing the 24hr kingston deal :/

Well it will take 12800 memory (1600MHz) it's classed as an overclock but that is the case with most MB (mine included - see sig).

You may need a BIOS update though - which brings me to my next question...

Is your BIOS upto date? This could solve your present issues.

update my bios about a week ago can check again though. just find it funny how the OCZ faults my computer but this corsair runs perfect.

The latest release is 1.70.

Could be a straight compatibility issue - could be faulty memory. If you're within the 7 days i would return it DSR rather than rma (otherwise you may find it sent straight back if it's found to be fault free).

You're allowed to return items that are unwanted if bought via net/mail order.

It's so you can inspect the item - and if it's not suitable you can return (undamaged etc) it within a given time period (7 days in this case).

EDIT: see my other reply on you Kingston order.

OK i get it now. Thanks for all your help, i know you are probably sick of me by now. LOL . I think i may just ring them and try to sort this all out.

There are the OcUK Customer Service forums too - link - but phone would be the best option.

Having said that Gibbo is in the memory forum so you may get a reply in your other thread...

im using defaults bios settings , should i change mine also

, noob with the bios also :)

Just to let everyone know I have received another 4GB of this and run Memtest for an hour (will do more later) and reports now errors on either stick. So again, thanks for all the help as it does seem i received two faulty sticks :/ Great job guys

Same exact product. I had ordered it for a build then decided to keep it and give the new build my old ram. then decided to order more on epic tuesday as it was so cheap. Knowing i don't really need 8gb for now but for 55£ delivered i just could not resist. I have done a DSR on the faulty ones. Got the new ones in a running perfect and will probably spend the money on some new speakers or something now LOL thanks again for your help though.

I installed 2 lots today, CPU-Z Registers as 1333Mhz, but SIW reports it as 1066? Its 1333Mhz in Bios with 7-7-7-20 then the rest set to auto at 1.5V

Run CPU-z and look at the memory tab this will show your timings etc - but if you've manually installed the timings and frequency in the BIOS you should be fine.

I personally would also set the voltage manually.

Listen to Plec and from my personal experience just go into bios and set it all manually. Cause even with the new stuff i received today was set at 1066 7-7-7-16 @1.5v I have changed to 7-7-7-20 1333 @1.65 and runs a treat now. You can always run memtest for a little if you are uncertain

Yeah, Set Voltage Manually to 1.5V as package says it was 1.5-1.6V so went for low side ran Prime95 Blend RAM test and i haven't had any problems. Just thought it was weird it was appearing different in one program than the other.

Sensible - always better to run on the lowest voltages possible less heat and stress on the components.

Sounds like it's stable - but if you get the occasional BSOD run memtest for a few hours just to sure.
