Tinder

I'm on Tinder more for my own amusement than anything, saying that I am meeting a couple of girls tonight and tomorrow :D

its blatantly intended for hookups rather than 'dating'

This, this, a thousand times this. If you expect to find a misses in there you're mistaken. If you want casual sex and flirting then it's for you. I don't see the big issue myself, beats just trying your arm in a bar.

We all want sex, no need for some of you to be such prudes.

I dunno, there is something for everyone I think... Got a few mates who are on it and Tinder is pretty much their main hobby. One is still looking for 'proper relationship', which basically means 4-6 nice dates followed by him calling it off because sub-subconsciously he likes the single life. The other is on full ****-buddy mode now and goes straight in with 'don't want relationship; let's have sex'. It works for him so can't mock him. Except he does end up with some nutcases.

I'd say 75% of girls on Tinder are looking for a proper relationship, and of the remaining % who say they just want a ****-buddy, most of them are secretly wanting a relationship too.

I know a few people who have gotten long term GFs from tinder but I also know people who are doing rather well at one night stands from it, it's what you make of it really.

Why do you need 'absolutely no shame' to use tinder?

If you like/swipe right on someone, and they don't do the same back, neither party knows about it. No lack of dignity or pride required at all.

I don't understand it either, there seems to be a bit of a stigma against using dating websites and it is extra when it's an app.

I met a girl on Tinder near the end of May who I'm still seeing. We had a long weekend together recently too. Things are going well.

She even messaged me first and we ended up meeting two days later. As above, it's what you make of it really.
