Tiny Magnum rant

Doesn’t matter, I still can’t resist them. Got a fresh pack of mint Magnums in the freezer that I’ll be cracking open shortly. :p

Mint is the best. Or Mint Viennese. They're the best when the little wafers of chocolate break up and crack. It's heaven.

Everything is costing more but you're getting less.

Have you seen how many crisps you get in a pack nowadays?

Although with that said I didn't think Magnums had changed size!?

I had a look today when in Iceland, 100ML down from 120ML.

Have crisps actually shrunk? I've no idea on current sizes, but they were 27.5g for Walkers multipack bags and 32.5g for singles back when I was still in school in the late 90s.

Eating one now whilst watching the footy and you’re so right. I used to think that the cookies ones were the best but mint has taken the title.

:D Viennese is so silky. Love how those thin wafers crack with the mint. It almost makes the mint pop. So refreshingly heavenly.

Is there a valid reason why the bag's have to have so much space inside?
bags*

I think part of the reason they fill ‘em with air is to protect the crisps. You never buy a bag of crisps these days and open it to find the contents have been completely smashed to crumbs but that used to be a common thing. I don’t eat a lot of crisps but I forget the last time I opened a bag and they were all broken.

/edit - I said ‘air’, it’s not air. It’s nitrogen which keeps the crisps fresher for longer.

Not had these for ages but the Mint and White ones are the best.

I found the Ruby and plain ones ok.

Ah the Viennetta. Remember a time back in the mid 80s when we'd sneaked some of a mate's Dad's whisky. The lad in question, being slightly drunk, liberated a Viennetta from the freezer, walked downstairs, stood at the bus stop a few doors down and when the bus pulled up and opened it's doors just slammed himself in the face with it and walked away leaving a very confused bus driver and passengers.
