Tiny USB 3 cable

Does anyone know if the wiring on USB 3 is much harder to "butcher" than USB 2? I need a stupidly short USB3 cable (like 15cm max) which is proving very hard to source.

9 or more wires and a shield plus some fillers and jackets.

Doesn't look to difficult but hacking into the pairs might add extra noise and signal problems, which to be fair might not be a problem with <15cm cable.
