So, this is mainly relatred to the ASUS Motherboards but could happen on any motherboard really.

I have a ASUS X99-E-WS

Few days ago i was using the AI-Suite.
i changed a bunch of fan profiles & hit apply, Not thinking nothing of it.

PC crashed Instantly, After a while i forced a shut-down to be greeted with on turning on a Corrupt Bios, even Flashback tool failed.... to recover it

Overclockers have now replaced it as they could not get a Bios chip to replace it.Even if your board has dual bios think twice please. just do it in the UEFI

cheers :)

Can't fault their fan control/setup in the bios. I did the qfan thing set some different temp per fan % then forgot about it.

Most Vendors Windows>bios sotware is unstable broken jank IMO,made a habit of avoiding it all costs

Hi, using Ai Suite 3 for fans you must run the Fan Tuning setting 1st then you can chose what ever fan mode you want.

Acually using it to control my PWM Pump it works a treat set on Silent Mode CPU-4930K:4.4GHz + SL 670, its been 16 months and its never went wrong.

Fan xpert is pretty decent for adjusting/controlling fan speeds. The rest is a waste of hdd space. I use bios fan control for the CPU cooler fans. Case fans are on a controller which allows them to be turned off if wanting a very quiet setup.
