I volunteered to do some housework this weekend. Not that I don’t normally do it but I don’t do it as much as the Mrs as I’m out of the house longer. Anyway, reporting for duty I asked her for the mission of the day. Playroom? Front room? Living room maybe? Nope I get the upstairs bath room with. Nooo!! :eek:

Ok, armed with my merry-gold (yes singular as I used the other one to make an artificial cow to prove that cows do produce skimmed milk), loo brush and more toxic chemical than an Iraqi air base.

I used a product called Kaboom on our lovely new’ish chrome mixer taps which managed to erode then to a lovely green, blue and black colour. I also dropped some on the carpet and has added a poka-dot (is that spelt right) effect. I managed to knock off a bath room ornament too which now has a large cracked in!!

Later on the evening I get “PAUL”!!! When she says my name in full without it being abbreviated, I know I’m in trouble. I admitted the taps but denied the ornament which I blamed my son.. :o

Anyway, I’ve been banned from house work.. Horraa!!!

so the moral is.. Destroy your house and never get to so the housework again!!

So that’s Ironing and Housework down.. Puts feet up and watches footie. :D

Gaaah, don't talk to me about installing new bathrooms. I've been completely re-doing ours, new sink, toilet, corner tub, multi-jet shower, floor tiles and new wall tiles. So far managed to get the shower installed and some of the floor tiles, tkane old bath out, got rid of most of the old wall tiles - plus large chunks of skin - moved hot water, cold water and waste pipes around. I now love being at work as I can do as little as I want, there is no such thing as a free weekend anymore :(
 
lol I must admit to making far too good a job of DIY tasks around the house - however with a lead time of several months to fit one small shelf my workload is pretty manageable :p :D

I'm also a complete nightmare for finishing jobs, hence the lovely bare-MDF entertainment centre and the half woodstained picnic bench I built last summer :o


great work on getting yourself out of housework though - my brother uses a similar method to get out of washing up by destroying tea pots every single time he's been asked to help :D
