Sorry to be pedantic but you have a fear and not a phobia.
If you had a phobia you would never get on the plane.
After spending 18 months with psychiatrists with my daughter I do know the difference.
What worked for a work colleauge of mine was to actually go flying in a small plane and have a go. His fear of flying wasnt servere it was a control thing, he didnt like being in a situation where he didnt have any control over. So being the nice pilot i am i took him out one sunday in a 4 seater and taught him a couple of things and let him have a go and he loved it. He now has completely no fear of flying at all.
