"Titan 350i Gelata" Intel Core i7 3770K @ 4.40GHz

Also I read in the Monitors forum that you need a GPU with dual-link DVI ports to run properly at 120hz. At a quick glance not many 7950 / 7970 do other than the Sapphire cards.

Just bought one of these systems and picked it up from OcUK today. Got it home and I must say, its very quiet when idle and far better than my air cooled Antec 900.

I didn't get an SSD, as I couldn't push the cost but will order one when some some money arrives my way. On the hole it's fast, great upgrade from my Core 2 Duo that I was running. I have tested the OC and its stable, and overclocks when required all the way up to 4.4 GHz, where the temps sit at around 50*c but the H80 can be a tad noisy at that point.

The cables inside are tidy. I went for the upgraded graphics slightly with the MSI 7850 2GB and so far it runs Skyrim on full with the high res texture pack. Additionally Crysis 2 looks sweet with all settings on ultimate.

I might have to wait a little while before recommending it to anyone (lets just let it bed-in) but first impressions are fantastic.

I ordered it with a blank copy of Win8 Home, which had no pre-installed software. I can't suggest what Win7 comes with.

What case - the BitFenix? Also see you got an Asus mobo as spec states Gigabyte?

I would hope they would have no issue upping the psu in case later down the line I fancy xFire.

The case looks like the Xigmatek Alfar

As for the board, Gigabyte recently released a new revision which no longer allows the use of the Corsair cooler and since the Asus board is just as good as the Gigabyte we decided to switch the board rather than try to find a suitable replacement cooler.

Thanks ScottiB. I assume for a system like this there is no issue in upgrading to a better spec modular PSU like the Corsair TX or HX850 for futureproofing?

Cheers

If you want to upgrade a component then there is no problem at all, just call our sales guys and they can help. Whether you need to or not really depends on your core choice of VGA card and where you think you'll want to go in future...a 600W corsair can run pretty much any current single GPU graphics card and the next gen are likely to be similar power consumption, if not lower.

The Gaming Series 600W will only start to struggle with high end multi-card set-ups

Yeah I am thinking I may end up picking up a 2nd 7950 at a later point when they are a bit cheaper so better to shell out an extra £23 now on a GS800 than have to fork out for a larger PSU later on down the line. Is there any reason to spend more on a TX850M? Are they quieter under load? I guess being modular means the cabling inside can be a bit tidier but not sure that warrants an extra £25 over the GS800.

Cheers

The main advantage of the YX850M is it's a modular supply which is where the extra money goes.

It is an ideal feature to have if you are planning on expanding your system at a later date as it means you can literally plug and play with new cables, whereas with a fixed amount of cables you will have to cable tidy some away fro easy access which isn't always ideal.

Sorry for no replies, i have had mad grief with my connection on the new machine (NOT THE MACHINES FAULT!!!), when i installed the motherboard software/drivers it didnt like the order i installed them, first thought it was the driver....so un-installed it and re-installed it...(nope)....new cat5 (nope)...driver all there..lookin fine (as far as not havin a hazzard on it in the list lol), to cut a long story short...went round the houses and thought...i`ll re-install windows and the lot...nothing else worked so why not....one of the installations off the MB disc killed my connection for some reason, so i rolled back to try switch the order......bingo worked....

The machine is really quiet (to me anyways)
I never had an inside of a case soooo tidy, its just freakin peachy how tidy it is, i love this machine...i really do.
Real tidy, real quiet and runs cool, the cooler does a great job thanks overclockers. (that was a worry to me).
My experience with Overclockers has been a good one, spoke to them a few times and they have been really helpfull with the connection woes i had, guy from overclockers said he would send me a net card out to get an internet connection to try update the bios because it may be that and he didnt want to leave me without a machine when all thats needed is a bios flash. So i`ll be sending the card back to them, dont need it and good of them to offer.(top guy)

Oh yeah the MB is now the ASUS, i am happy with it, my last couple of machines had ASUS boards and i never had grief with them, its actually the board i was looking at vs the GB board, either was cool with me.

The machine didn`t have Panda antivirus installed either, installed windows myself.

The graphics card ( Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7970 Windforce 3X 3072MB) has the duel-link interface and cable included...which is needed to get the 120hz/144hz refresh rate out of the monitor (BenQ XL2411T 24" TRUE 120Hz) and it is smooth

The case is the BitFenix Raider

Thanks again Overclockers, you built me my dream machine, it gives me a massive sausage!!!
