hey guys

how many of you have this system, can you please post what temperatures it is reporting

and what is your room temperature

i live in a rather warm country so i fear that it would be overheating especially in the summer

how would a corsair h50 perform vis-a-vis the akasa nero s

You'll need to give us more information than that matey...

What cpu are you using, what clock speed/voltage etc - all these factors will greatly alter any temperature :)

Think this is the one
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-252-OK

Case: Antec 300 Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case
- Power Supply: Corsair CX 600W
- CPU: Intel Core i5 760 2.80GHz overclocked to 4.00GHz
- Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3 Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard
- Cooler: Akasa Nero S CPU Cooler
- RAM: Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
- Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache
- Graphics Card: Choice of the latest graphic cards
- Sound: High Definition 7.1 Onboard Sound Card
- Optical Drive: 22x DVD+RW SATA Dual Layer ReWriter

The H50 may outperform the Nero by a few degrees but I wouldn't expect a massive difference.

Maybe it'd be a good idea to actually post your temperatures using Prime95 so others can compare.

My temps in UK, sorry i have not currently got a way to get my room temp :(

Temps under 80 are nothing to worry about on a 4ghz overclock. I certainly wouldn't be too concerned about 60 degrees. You may need to run under load for quite some time to reach thermal equilibrium though. Five mins isn't really enough.

for some reason i cant see lennshow's temps - can anyone copy them please? -edit- i'll see them when i go back home :)

regarding the cooler, i want to ship this system overseas, i hope that they remove the akasa else the mobo will surely break, the corsair seems to be more silent and less bulky

identifying your room temperature would help a lot as mine will be a few degrees higher unless you have central heating

btw will that cpu coupled with a gtx260 (overclocked) suffice with a 600 w power supply??

He is getting 35-38 idle and 60 full load.

We can remove the cooler for you for shipping overseas however the Corsair H50 may be a better option for you as we can ship that fully assembled with no risk of damage.
