Titan Fenrir EVO CPU Cooler

Xmas edition looks awful :p

It doesn't look that bad really when you see it close up.
I have it mounted on my ASUS Crosshair iv and it looks great on there, the fan is noisy as hell though lol I've replaced it with an apache black which is loads better and cools just as well.

I assume the EVO version is a lot quieter with the supplied fan than the previous revision was?

Nice to see Titan continuing there trend of making great high end but cheap air coolers :)

I listened to the fan earlier and have to say I was quite impressed with how quiet it really was. At it's lowest speed I couldn't hear it barely at all. The other guys will be able to tell you how much louder it was under load though.

Thanks for that, looking into possible cheaper alternatives to my extremely quiet Scythe Mugen 2 for my next build.

I see the blades on the Sharkoon Silent Eagle SE blades have been given the same treatment as a golf ball must be to do with air resistance.

I installed it earlier and it was a bit weird really. When it was first in, it revved up to 2200rpm and sounded like a hoover to be honest. Now I have figured out how to turn on PWM control or something and it sits at ~1000rpm and is inaudible, I can hear my hard drives spinning over my fans now. It is really rather good as well, it keeps my TriCore Phenom @ 3.5Ghz @ 29/30'C idle.

Oh for reference it is 10'C cooler and a fair bit quieter than my old Ninja2.

Titan have no released the fan seperately.

I read somewhere that they were going to release the fan as a retail pack for people who wanted to upgrade their existing Fenrir but it didn't say if that was in every market.

Edit: Found article again and it is older than I thought (May).

I would like an Evo as a cheaper but capable alternative to an H-50, if it fits in my case.

wow that looks nice

performs well...but I have the first titan fernir so I m happy :D

The colour scheme is definately a lot better than the christmas version. However aprt from the colurs and stuff, have they actually tried making a totally new design as it seems nothing has changed.

Afaik the only thing different is the fan. Though iirc they have tried to use the same design on the fan as the Gentle Typhoons so static pressure should be a lot better.
