Titan Goliath thank you!

Was thinking about getting one of these. But now i'm not so sure. I understand the demand to get these built and sent to customers, but how much testing is done to ensure these systems are stable when delivered? I'm not confident building my own PC thats why i liked the idea of having one professionally built

Sadly i had mine arrive on thursday, plugged in the Desktop and it kept turning off nothing on screen. Thought this was weird opened the desktop and the graphics card wasnt in the pci-e and half of the motherboard was crushed and half the capacitors were at the bottom of the case. :( Power supply wasnt screwed in properly and was wobbly. Rang service and DPD is coming back to pickup. Very nice computer but sad to see it go. Cant wait for a replacement i went for all the extras aswell. Exelent Support given from customer service. Keep you posted on what happens... Just have to keep my old one for a little bit longer.

Sounds like a very bad delivery driver then, must have been soul destroying to look inside the case and see the horror that laid inside!

I can understand how bad it must have felt to see the machine go back to OcUK for a replacement model, after the excitement of seeing it arrive and connect it all up for the first time.

What extras did you have with it might I ask? I was wondering if, when I order, could I ask them to fit a second HDD, or would I have to order the HDD and install it myself?

Looks like I will be going the route on here of the PC Configurator side of things, as it has a lot of custom options that I am very interested in, enough to get a dream machine that im really happy with for around £2,000, which isnt bad it it wouldnt require any updating for many years, which is my ultimate aim!

If you make a webnote and tell them what system you are intrested in with which upgrades they will work it out and give you a price for your spec.Very helpful like that.

I dont need to do a webnote, what I was saying was I found the "PC Configurator" which lets you make a very custom machine, and after I priced and specced it upto the level I wanted, it came to £2,047.68 inclusive of shipping & tax. Does everyone find that reasonable amount? Will post the specs if you want me to

My ultimate dream machine, never thought id get a system for this price, and in June it will all be mine :D

Ok! just got my machine today after having to wait 2 WEEKS! since ordering...

My system wouldnt boot up at first which was weird but after afew resets it booted up.. then for reasons unknown to me at that stage the OS (Vista) wouldnt boot up which was ment to be pre-installed when i got my system... So i put in the Vista CD and booted the PC back up, when selecting which drive i would like vista to be installed on there wasnt any there! empty! no hard drive at all was detected!

I started to panic and think what else could go wrong now! i opened up the Case, still couldnt understand why until i saw the connections to the Harddrive, It only had the Power plugged into it and the Sata wasnt even connected, it was connected from the motherboard SATA2 port to the SATA3 port.( no idea how they got that wrong)

Plugged that back in the correct way then restarted and the System booted up Vista fine since it was already installed ( So once they installed Vista, they disconnected my SATA cable and plugged it back into another motherboard slot, WTF why..?)

And my CPU is clocked at 2.66Ghz and is not Overclocked to 3.40GHz! :(

Need to find out how to do this! ASAP

But its a Great system, Maxed out Crysis on all settings and other games, very good machine.

Im a bit surprised as to why they swapped the SATA cable into another mobo slot, as they should have left it alone, and also having to wait 2 weeks seems a very long time, but bear in mind that the bank holiday weekend doesnt count for the build time, and also they did have a lot of orders for this machine when on a special deal, which would put the build time back by at least a few days.

I hope that when I put my custom machine through that it comes with the expert overclocking, as I will be paying the £40 for them to do that for me. Was thinking of this Titan machine, before I knew they did the custom choice machines, while priced at around £2k, it is my dream machine, and well worth the money as its a better machine than anywhere else.

Bring it on Crysis, I shall be enjoying this at full res :D

Just a quick note to anyone who needs support for one of our systems please use the customer support forum, it is what it is there for. :)

Sorry for my lack of urgent reply!

It's running great so far. Can run all the latest games well. I find that Crysis struggles a bit with full AA so I've taken it down to 4x from 8x and its a bit better. All other games are great, Cod5 at max is just too easy for it etc. It also runs Empire Total War crash free too which has got to be a good thing!

With regards to the card, it runs well.I tend to whack the fan speeds upto 45-50% when running games but then drop it back down to 35% when tootling about on the internet or playing music etc (it can get quite loud).

All in all you will thoroughly love this PC!

My system arrived yesterday, spent the entire day setting it up. Most of that time waiting for Vista to update. Plays Crysis and GTA 4 like a dream.

One problem, the i7 920 is clocked at 2.66Ghz, not at 3.40Ghz as advertised. Not the end of the world, it's an amazing processor. But does anyone have a quick guide to overclocking an i7?

I'm have the very same problem as you, mines only clocked at 2.66 rather than the 3.4

I must admit, it would be very helpful if there was a thread setup on how to overclock the i7 (bought here) from 2.66 to at least 3.4 or even higher than this with the Noctua cooler.

Id like to know because even though I will be paying the £40 on the custom setup for "Expert Overclocking" if it doesnt come to at least 3.4, with a guide im sure I could go through the steps required, maybe in Mobo specific sub-sections, as I would have an Asus Rampage II (most expensive available)

To those who asked above.

I ordered mine over the phone to upgrade the HDD. I went for the 1Tb drive however I was offered 2x500gb in raid also which was nice.

I see it is coming with the Noctura hs now thats good.

All is going well here I have upped the speed on the case fans also.

It seems that having a Noctua cooler is a must as it has even won awards for the sheer power it has to cool the i7 right down, seems to be the best air cooler around at the moment, especially for us overclockers who want the speed at nothing less than 3.4 from 2.66 ;)

If I waited until beginning of June, do you think the price of this machine would go down, or have better parts come out at the same price as the current crop of components?
