I'm going to guess that it would run Crysis just fine. My machine is running on an ATI Radeon HD 4850 1GB with an AMD Athlon II x2 2.9GHz and it gets an average 25fps on highest settings (sometimes higher... Sometimes) . I imagine that rig would eat Crysis up, or at least handle it well.

Ah great many thanks, and do you think that titan goliath is a good bundle price for the money?

i could never bring myself to say yes as 90% of pre-built comps are way overpriced

I know what you mean, but having now experience at all building comps it's just such a daunting prospect i would rather have a pro get it set up for me!

there are plenty of guides that can help you set up your pc... I built my first one (previously people did it for me) last month (the one in my sig). Granted it takes some time and you have to triple check to see that you got everything right... but the satisfaction will be great ;)

Not to mention you will save a great deal of money and invest in something else... perhaps an ssd? :p

I reckon it looks like a good system, I'm probably ordering one next friday, I probably will choose 4890, seagate 1TB Hard drive, Antec 902, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit.

But with all honesty for the same price what more could i have? as i worked out on the titan sabre that i was only making a saving of 80 pounds and iwould rather pay that with the reassurance that everthing is fine

Hello all, just a quick question: What are you thoughts of the titan goliath? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-030-OE I am thinking of purchasing now over the titan sabre http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-073-OE&groupid=43&catid=1445&subcat= .

Would you say the titan goliath is the best value bundle out there for the money? and would this play crysis fine etc on full settings?

Many thanks to all!!

I recently purchased this system and i think its spot on went with the 5890 and antec 902 with ssd and it eats up crysis on full whack. plus the cable management is superb im well impressed with it.

I have one... bought it 10 days ago... it runs everything you throw at it.

I bought mine with the 5870.. its perfect.. and it eats crysis. I have played everything that I own at the highest possible settings and its been superb... highly recommended!!

This. I've always fancied building my own but in reality it's not like you're saving bucket loads. I've just bought a new Phenom II x4 965 only to discover my mobo wont support if (stupid me) so now I've got to get a new mobo and in turn RAM. It's gonna cost a good bit of money but the labor cost of putting it together isn't going to be much at all.

If I put one together I just know when I hit the power button something would go pop! At least if a pro in some store does it you have somebody to hold responsible if that happens and somebody to cover the cost of the parts they installed wrong. Better safe than sorry.

Titan seems like a good deal, I'd go for it.

The Titan Goliath is a good machine, I got one a few weeks ago with a hd 5870, very pleased with its performance. Wardster do you mean a hd 5870 or a hd 5970?

You could save money if you built it yourself, its just a fact. Copy and paste the components and write down the price of each in the machine ( including the case ) and total them up. I did this a few weeks back with the same machine but forgot now just how much you would save. I think its in the region of £100 to £150 but dont quote me on this. Not to mention you do realise the I5 out performs the I7 for gaming and im guessing thats what you want this for. So you would be saving another £40 to £60 on the CPU.

Dont get me wrong right now I think this is the best value for money pre built machine on OC.

Right I have just calculated it for you with a 4850 GPU and the ANTEC 300 case. It comes to around 750. However it seems that the ram they are using is very expensive when this isnt really going to impact your gameplay to such an extent. Allmost 110 just on ram. All in all if you dropped the I7 for an I5 and got ram to the quivalent of say 75 pounds, which trust me you wouldnt be able to notice the difference. You would be saving around another 100 which you could use to upgrade the GPU to something much better, which would increase the performance of the machine much more dramatically then the ram.

At the end of the day its going to be your call.

How exactly does an i5 ouperform the i7 on games?

For some reason the i believe its the HT techology on the I7 ? ( correct me if im wrong ) but for some strange reason it makes it run slower in some games. The I7 wipes the floor in other aspects but im guessing this guy wants to game and not knowing much about components, is going to rightly believe that paying the most will get you the best. Not allways the case as we know, it would save him 70 aswell as get the same if not better performance as shown above. :) Aswell as more CPU's been released next year utilising the 1156 socket means its still going to be acheivable in the long run to upgrade to an I7 in the future. Hope this helps.

ah yes mate you are right it is the HT i get 10fps more in wow without ht on, however outperforms it maybe the wrong choice of words if the games were optimised for 4 core 8 threads it would be a white wash...but agree i5 would be his best choice
