TITAN QUEST!

Being a lefty, I have the following hand-keyboard positioning...

Right hand on keyboard; thumb on Alt for Drops, 1st finger resting on R for health, then I set my castable spells to the numbers 4/5/6/7, so within easy reach of my middle finger. Little finger sits on M for the map.

:D

You disgust me.

only drawback with steam version is the "hold drop button mod" which mean you dont need to keep a finger on the D key to see the drops doesnt work with the steam version...

your poor D button on your keyboards :)

im a massive TQ fan and have been since the day of release, check out TQ.net for massive help and tips :)
I've got a MX518 mouse which has lots of buttons on it that I remap to keyboard keys for exactly stuff like that. It's so so handy :)

I used TQ Defiler to apply mods such as the "permanently highlight drops" mod to my copy of Titan Quest. From what I've read though, it still should work fine for the Steam version.

I've played the game before but i really do not want to go through easy again it will bore me , anyway of playing the epic -> legendy first?

Just bought. Will I need to fire up the original to play it, or are both campaigns available in the expansions. Also, will I be able to play the new character in the original game, or is that only for the expansion?

You can use the TQ Defiler I linked above to cheat - add loads of XP points and also unlock all the levels. I'm 70% sure you can jump straight to Legendary if you tick the right boxes in the program, but it's been about 2 years since I last used it so I'm not fully certain.

As tibbsey said though, you'll still most likely die, unless you over cheat and make yourself practically a god :)

Play Immortal Throne if you've got it. It's basically the original Titan Quest with added stuff.

Even if you started a character in vanilla Titan Quest, you can import it into Immortal Throne and start from the beginning.

I see, so I won't miss any story line or gameplay if I do Immortal Throne, and effectively ignore the original?

No you won't miss a thing.

Immortal Throne includes everything the original has, you play through the same story, but they added some more levels at the end and added the Dream class amongst other things.

Indeedly.

Immortal Throne might want you to run the original game once so that it can pick up that you do have the original.

This game looks great, I can't believe the price!

Only problem is I ordered it last week from the river shop and it came this morning!

Just my luck.

I still bought the steam copy however, as it's still worth the £10.50 I have spent on it thus far.

It is a tough game so far though.

i know what im doing and it takes me roughly 24 hours per char, per difficulty so your easily looking at 72 hours+ per char you make......

and crackerbear if you look on the defiler theres a little red star next to "highlight drops" the red star then says not compatible with steam/D2D versions. I know it was something soulseeker was working on so it might well be fixed now....

Ah, I've not actually looked at the lastest version of the Defiler, but I did do a quick Google search and saw that people were using it on their Steam versions so presumed Soulseeker has added the feature already.
