Fitted both my 980Ti's with EK Titan x full waterblocks + backplates as per instructions and the blocks and backplate on both cards have left the pcb slightly curved. Mainly at the power connectors and SLI fingers (most noticeable). Has anyone had a similar issue with theirs? Is it normal?

Thanks, Tyler.b.

A picture speaks a thousand words - any chance of a picture, need to see how much bend we are talking really. Mine has a very slight bend with block and backplate, but it is slight.

I had a massive curve in my 980ti and realised that the wrong size thermal pads were in the box, i was meant to have 0.5mm pads and in the box was 1.5mm , now i have the correct ones there is no bending.

Scary - wonder how they managed to put the wrong size in the box.

The curve is about 2mm from middle to edge but it's not too bad both to be the same. It's not really noticeable only really when looking down the edge of the cards. Followed all instructions and the pads were as shown (0.5mm), so I guess it's just how it is.

Looks all good in the case aswell.

Thanks :).

I had this as well, never noticed it until I had it already in my rig. Think it has to do with what eggcup said.

Not worrying enough for me to replace it, just an slight bend

yeah that is nothing compared to what mine was like.

That's very similar to my blocks. I was worrying and thought it was worse than it actually was. Once in the system SLI bridge and power connectors in, it really isn't noticeable and they look great!

I can be a bit OCD that way (knowing it's not right annoys me), I used 5m of flexible tube on the build I could have done it in 2 easily but if it's not right lol.
But hey it's not bad and really not enough to get it replaced or swap the Blocks. Might go for a pre-built card next time though.

Thanks for all the advice guys :)
