I've been having a look at the Zotac 980 Ti Extreme Amp Edition and it's really enticing as to be honest there's only a 1-2FPS difference between it and the 980 Ti even when the TX is clocked to 1400 and the 980 Ti to 1500 and the Zotac line looks sexy :p

So, Nuts or a viable option ?

Kaap won't be pleased (he rightly points out the difference can be found when pushed), but I do like how cool and quiet the custom-cooled 980 Tis are. As someone into light overclocking I'd favour the 980 Ti myself.

I thought about it myself Dice. I get 1400mhz out of my TX but fancied a G6...might pick one up as a physx card :D:D

Do it for the lolz :p

My Titan X can do 1450/8200 quite happily :D

*EDIT*

Gaming with 1479 on the core and 8208 on the memory in Shadow of Mordor at 4K max settings completely stable :)

Side/down-grade for me tbh, not worth the effort unless you're after a quieter system overall :)

(for instance I have my fans set now so my G1 fans switch off at idle, gaming I don't mind as I wear a headset)

Personally I'd keep the TX, as you'll probably only get £600ish for it anyhow

honestly I wouldn't unless I knew I was getting the card paid for by my old card. If you can't get 700+ for the X so not worth it hehe....
