"Titan Xenomorph" vs Custom Build

Hey guys.

Just looking for abit of advice on what spec to take. With the Titan Xenomorph reduced this week it's a tempting prospect.

I guess it's just a contest between a 955, or an overclocked i3 530. If I was going for the custom spec, I wouldn't be doing any overclocking.

Gaming is the only thing i'm interested in using it for really, aswell as just general use, so I was just wondering whether the i3 will limit me in that department because it's only dual-core.

£700 including Win7 is my absolute limit, so no room for any changes really!

You've hit the nail on the head there, games at starting to favour 3+ cores, so although the performance of the i3 isn't bad, the 955 will perform better in most new release games.

You can always overclock that phenom as well they're surprisingly easy chips to overclock

So, I will get better performance in games from the 955? Even if the i3 530 is overclocked to 4.00ghz?

Also, how would the Krypt perform? (with the 5770)

I understand not as well as the 955, but will the four cores of the 630 give me a benefit over the i3 530 in gaming?
