TitanX v 295X2 review @HardOCP

I just don't see the argument for the Titan X, with the 390X less than 2 months away now. It's likely to beat it in most scenarios, and probably smash it at high resolution, with non-Gameworks titles in DX12 (or Vulkan) being a total whitewash.

Always something better around the corner, always has been, always will be.

So if you have the money and want it, just get it, no point in waiting on something that isn't even close to release and very likely will take another couple of months for driver issues to be sorted.

Strong crystal ball you have there.

If the price of the AMD R9 295X2 keep going down it will be the best option for those that want to game on 1440p & higher its a great card by the sounds of it.

I hope when the new AMD cards come out it will go to £450.

They intend for stock to be gone by the time new cards come out, hence the discounting.

Doesn't take much prescience to divine a massive increase in memory bandwidth and a chip designed around this significantly improving performance at high resolution and for VR. Particularly when GCN already scales much better than Maxwell and its predecessors at high res. As for DX12 & Vulkan, Vulkan effectively is Mantle (with some new and interesting bits as well), and DX12 is heavily based on it .. I think it's safe to say that GCN is likely to benefit more than Maxwell.

there are some fantastic bargains there, for anyone like me on 1080p only, i'd get two of those and give the 295X2 a miss

Guys from a marketing point of view the only person over pricing the card is the retailers

They would be getting around 50% of the retail price on this product depending on how many they buy , So just wait a few months until the retailers reduce the price , just look at the MSI Lightning 290x , it was going for over £600 when it launched , it can now be picked up for around £280 on special offers .
