TJ MAX for 45nm quad

Intel Core 2 Quad processor Q9000 and Q8000 series - 100°C
Intel Core 2 Extreme processor QX9650 - 95°C
Intel Core 2 Extreme processor QX9770 - 85°C

oh thats means my overclocked 9550 hits 70c is that ok?

Think thats a bit on the sore side of things for a 24/7 clock i'd say. What was it doing when hitting 70c though?

Ive had mine a hair off that (69 on 2 cores) when intel burn test was running, although the house was absolutely roasting at the time. I've yet to see it top 60degrees when gaming though.

Personally i think it might be worth maybe adding another fan on your heatsink (for push/pull) to aid cooling just a smidge etc, assuming it isn't the stock cooler. I don't feel comfortable letting mine sit above low 60's for long periods of time

Each to their own though i suppose

seems a bit high, got my q9550 at a lowly 3.4 for now using a true black cooler with 2 x 120mm akasa ambers and the stock thermalright chill factor 2 paste. ran prime 95 for 6 hours and the highest temp on any core was 48c using core temp 0.99.3

using artic cooler so push/pull maybe be hard ? anyone done it? room was very hot but my mind is on the summer and possible problems then
