Just trying to decide whether or not to go with Tmobile when I order my Note 2? Search results give a poor impression of them, but they're all from months ago. How are they now? Are speeds still capped to 3.5Mbits down, 512Kbps up?

On MPD, Tmobile have the best contract (Full Monty £36, free handset), and the only other option is vodafone which I've had bad experience with. Should I just go for it?

Whats 3's fair use policy like? The thing that keeps me tempted with TMobile is the literal unlimited data, not "actually 1GB, then we slow you down" like others.

T-Mobile is great in my area. But your best off just getting a PAYG sim and trying it in places you go to.

All my handsets are locked to O2 or Orange so I can't really. I'm texting a few local mates to see how they get on with it.

Just done a couple of speed tests on my O2 iPhone 4. With 3/5 signal I got 5.2Mbps down and 1.5Mbit up. So like people have said, do I go from consistently good, to ranging from poor to very good?

Wow that's good to know. A few had said that Orange data speeds are abysmal. So is it easy enough to just tell the phone to use TMobile instead of TMobile Orange?

To be honest, I'd scratched 3 off my consideration list because everyone was telling me they were rubbish, but if you guys are saying they're good and provide reliable data, then I'll rethink. I might just have to spend something up front and not get it from MPD, as they only offer Vodafone and Tmobile plans.

Currently wondering if it may just be better to get a giffgaff or similar sim only deal and buy the phone outright? That way I'm not tied to TMobile, or 3 if I decide they're crap.

Nice!

Think I'm just going to buy the phone outright and go three 1 month plan. Tempted to get the £6.90 plan, then get the £3 all you can eat data addon.
