Whats the thoughts on this
60GB OCZ Agility 3 SSD, 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s, SandForce 2281, Read 525MB/s, Write 475MB/s, 50K IOPS X2 raid 0

or

120GB OCZ Technology Vertex 3, 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Sandforce SSD, Read 550MB/s, Write 500MB/s, 60K IOPS

Never even looked at SSDs so dont have a clue.

What i want it speed not size.

Remember the top SSD will be on raid

Or for about the same £ i can get a Revodrive.

Revodrives have all sorts of problems. Out of the two options I think I'd get a Vertex 3. RAID means no TRIM and these drives do need TRIM more than most other SSDs to stay performing for long periods of time. This is due to the throttling of incompressible writes after a short amount of time (leading to a "settled in" state).

My thoughts are, with raid it will have the speed to compensate for TRIM.

But as i have said i have no idea about SSDs.

Just planning a new build and want everything sorted.

These drives will work fine it raid0. Built in garbage collection is up to the task of replacing trim..

Raid0 for speed..

you will NOT notice the difference in real world everyday usage... only in benchmarks...

I would choose a vertex 3 120gb or agility 3 120gb

I would agree with this, in real world usage you will never see the difference in raiding SSD's , I did have 2 80GB Intel 2nd gen's and raid 0'd them, now in benchmarks they were great , but in real world no better than the 160GB Intel I have now
