To void or not to void...

Never heard back from them again, sent countless emails but all were ignored, had to replace the board with an asus p5q deluxe.

So you were stuck with a grubby board with loose components?

I'd have threatened them with the full might of the law :D

Surely they wouldn't have a leg to stand on if you'd taken pictures? I took pictures of my monitor before it went back to Asus, and after two unsuccessful replacements, they've agreed to send me a new one.

My comp is the thing that makes my room so hot. Even in the winter it's too hot!

You do realise that water cooling your PC won't affect that in the slightest, right?

Water cooling will transport heat away from the GPU more efficiently, cooling down the chip, but that heat is still dumped into your room. Your room will heat up by exactly the same amount as it does now (more if you use the better cooling to clock the GPU further.

Having said all that, watercooling is a PITA and unless you like being inside your pc at regular intervals messing about with water, stick to a heatsink.

Since l built my custom loop, for the first couple of weeks l use to check for leaks none discovered and now l'll check once a month up and running 9months. The only time l'v topped the coolent up is when l have upgraded the GPU and Rad. So at the end of the day if you make sure your water tight theres not a lot to do with your loop. :)

By the way, watercooling will not affect that at all. You're still dissipating the same amount of heat energy, or if you overclock further, then more, making it even more hot.

Or it will fail epically. :(

I'm pretty certain that global warming can pretty much be solely blamed on fermi!

Nah, I ran a 29 hour prime on my rig and my room got up to 50ºC. It's not just Fermi that puts out the heat.
