To wii or not to wii?

It's a good second console, but if you've yet to get a 360/ps3 I'd get one of them first (I have a 360/wii) and the 360 gets played a lot more.

If you have a PC then get the Wii, as it will offer a differant variety of gaming. If you dont game a lot on your PC then the 360 is probably the better bet. If you dont game that much then the Wii comes tops.

just ordered a wii for my wife (and me) we have friends over quite abit at week ends i want to hook it up to my projector hey its going to beat the kareoke machine !

Had a Wii at the beginning of the year and moved it on as there was nothing around for it. Now there's Mario Galaxy, Paper Mario, both Resi Evil games, Mario/Sonic Olympics etc I've bought another. Thoroughly enjoying Galaxy so far. Makes a change to the kind of stuff I've been playing on the PS3/360.

At the end of the day, if you can afford more than one get a Wii AND either PS3/Wii. If you can only get one, then I'd currently advise against the Wii as a sole console.

Simple as that really, hope it helps.

Pretty much what I thought, I was disappointed with the 360, alreading having a decent PC, but the Wii is great fun.

Yeah, it's a good wife/GF friendly console. There may only be a couple of games that you'll want to play on your own (Zelda, SMG) but you'll earn good BF points playing wii sports or Monkey Ball with her - and it is a good laugh for sure. My missus loves our wii - I only play it with her. I use my PC for gaming. But if I didn't have a PC or significant other there's no way I'd buy a wii.
