TOAD Ai606

I've just had one fitted to my Astra for £205.00 fitted (to your door).

Very impressed with it so far (as far as alarms go anyway).

Cat 1 so Insurance approved, and far undercuts Toad's own price of £299.99 fitted.

i had mine fitted to the golf by the same people (MSI). dead happy with the instalation, no probs at all.

he came out and fitted it on a sunday (i think). only complaint was that he scratched my door on the fence in the garden but then my car is hardly a show queen so i didnt care that much.

i have dual proximity on mine... tbh i think id rather have gone for knock sensors instead.

iv got this on the merc and the fiesta. very reliable alarm and immobiliser. very rare false alarms unless a moth gets into the car.
paid 300 quid for it fitted on your door step. so for 200 quid its a damn good deal.

may i ask where your getting this 200 quid offer from? and do they supply the insurance certificates too?

There are just so many extras think I need these as well.

TILT SENSOR : To sense if the vehicle is jacked up ,ie; if your wheels are attempted to be stolen or attempted to be towed away etc £50 fitted

TOTAL CLOSURE : To close all your electric windows and sunroof on arm of alarm 2/4 window £50 fitted

:(

Total closure is a bit of a waste of money imo, not too much effort to just close the windows before you get out.

Just a word of warning, if you have a turbo timer on, you'll have to wait for it to switch off before locking the car. A "feature" of the Ai606 is to unlock the doors when the engine stops, so once the turbo timer has counted down, it'll unlock the doors.

No the car does not have the turbo timer, but thanks for the heads up.

Will contact the frist company (the one you used) and check the prices for any extras, see if I can save a bit of cash.:)

Nope my car has now changed I am getting a GT4 still but a fresh import, these come with no alarm on. :)

ooh, thats the car im thinking of getting (next year though)

I would get a few addons thats for sure, get it done by an approved place, personally i would check the latest clifford ones mate over Toad, especialy for that type of car, check the main clifford site for extras too (there are also more on offer that main website does not have do a google)

Yeah will do however they seem a lot more expensive than the toad ones, and I do not want to pay just for a name, or features that I will not use.

I can get a decent toad for around £300 so I will see what Clifford do around that price range. :)

I've got one on the scooby. Seems ok, not very loud though. If I had it fitted, I'd get the boot release and a shock sensor, but it was already on the car when I got it. Been meaning to get them added and a new certificate for 18 months now :o

MSI Security do the Clifford 650 Mk2 for around £350 I think.

Yeah just going to look what features that has now and compare prices. :)

Edit just seen this

REMOTE CAR START :To start and stop your vehicle from your new Toad remote £95 fitted.

Could that be used like a turbo time I wonder, lock the car whilst it is running then go inside and shut the car off after a couple of mins.

I know theres a similar one on the CLIFFORD alrm , that you can start the car my remote or mobile phone to recharge the battery OR you can start it by remote so it warms the car up for you :)
