I like to put mine through a few heating/cooling cycles so that it becomes brittle and crunchy. :p

White bread and the Butter goes on when it's cooled to avoid any sogginess.

Toast, the best thing since..errrr..well you know!

How do you like it?

I like to catch it ASAP out the toaster and butter it, so the buttered side goes nice and soft and the underside stays crunchy, mmmmmmm - with honey for the winnnnn

I like mine only very lightly toasted, thicker the better & with butter on :)

I also like it when it goes soggy after a poached egg has been on top.

Loads of doorstep sized wholegrain bread well toasted and smothered with jam/butter/honey.

Awesome.

Do you even need to eat again for the rest of the day? ;)

Anyone else found that they have changed their toast style over the years? When i was a kid i'd only toast one side, butter it and then peel the toasted/buttered layer off and eat it seperately!

For the win

thick granary bread, lightly toasted so it's hot, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside (Armadillos!!)
Buttered as soon as it the toaster pops with real butter, then any of the following.

* Thinnish layer of marmite.
* Thickish layer of crunchy or extra-crunchy peanut butter
* A liberal coating of St Dalfour Raspberry Jam, the finest Jam known to man.

Thick toasted fresh bread, butter on straight from the grill/toaster so it melts nicely and then a thin spread of marmite. Yum

Most mornnings though, it is sliced bread from tesco. Fresh bread is left for the weekends which makes it even more special!

Golden brown doorstops, buttered, and smothered in Golden Syrup!

I can only have this now and again, otherwise I'll become a right fatso! :o

Brown bread - toasted so its slightly black with marmite is ace! Or medium toasted with strawberry jam or honey :)

White bread - lightly toasted with a lot of butter if the slices are thick, peanut butter and marmite if not! :)
