Toby Carvery, what do they put in their mash?

Butter and cream one would imagine. I don't know if they are putting vanilla extract in theirs like a lot of other places are doing now.

There's no cream. Even a tiny amount of cream makes me violently ill and I can quite happily eat my own weight in their mash.

Which one do you go to Divine? The one up at Kingston Park? I've been to the one by Washington and that's alright not tried the Metro Centre one yet.

Yeah was the kingston park one, try to avoid the place at all costs now lol
Parents wanted to try the metrocentre one, went on sunday but due to the stupid layout of the carpark and how it leads to the kirspy kreme drive thru there was nowhere to park or manauver so ended up stuck in the car park for a while LMAO

The car park round there is a joke now. I just dump it in one of the others and trek over. I've not been in the Metro one yet as it looks a bit weird and not what I expect from a TC. It looks like an actual snazzy restaurant haha. The Washington one is decent though if it's not too far for you to travel.

To get involved in the 'my mash is better than yours debate':

Boil the tatties, remove from pan, simmer oil garlic and rosemary, add tatties back to pan, mash with a little milk and butter. As long as the rosemary or garlic don't conflict with the main part of the dish it's a winner.

If you're feeling absolutely mental try mixing some white flesh sweet tatties in too.
