Tocco/Gmail?

Is it possible to get this phone setup with POP3 gmail so I can get emails sent straight to he phone?

I've never been successful with setting this up with any phone.

Hi!,

There is a gmail client you can download if you log into googlemail from your phone this works on my phone!

Is it not possible to set this up as an 'email account' via the phone rather than downloading an additonal client to the phone?

I tried and failed and could never find sufficient info on how to do it.

Sold the phone now anyway.

I've tried using the phones wizrd and setting up how they explain to for the iphone - but the gmail mail servers don't seem to respond.

Make sure you change the email profile from a wap connection to an internet api i.e. if you are on a vodafone contract use "contract internet" as opposed to "contract wap". It's the only way I have managed to get this to work on a tocco.

Mine is set to "Operator Internet" by default - however still can't get it to download my mail.

I get "connection failed" or "Invalid ID or Password" (even though it's pukka!)
