Today I drove...

Funny you should say that about the looks because I thought exactly the same thing. It's a daring look, just like Audi took the risk with the old TT but I think it's going to date quickly in this case.

If you want a more refined drive, but love the feel of a hot hatch then... don't buy one either. Buy an ASBO.

Corrected ;)

What was the inside like then? do you get the one with the computerised dash? I have a fetish for those sorts of things :(

I did a long journey in my dad's Civic and it's a pain in le bum. There's like 2 levels to the dashboard; behind the wheel is the rev counter with the petrol gauge, etc, and behind that is your speedo with a counter telling you how economical your driving is! As fancy as it might be, I really couldn't care less how much i'm warming the world up. Mind you, it was a diesel, so it was usually on max economy :p

I prefer the EP3 over the FN2. My EP3 after 42k has no rattles whatsoever and I've given it some stick too.

The FN2 has better handling as its more sure of itself entering corners where in the EP3 I'm a bit cautious, but then that may be because the EP3 is my car :D

The FN2 boasts better brakes and an even firmer ride thanks to the new chassis but it makes the car feel horrible. You could add a few braces and add nicer brakes and have a great handling EP3 and the FN2 wouldn't touch it.

But the JDM FD2 is where it's at, I'd love to get my hands on one of those!

Right, seriously, this is getting ridiculous. Can someone please explain the Honda model numbering? People are just spouting out letters and numbers here there and everywhere and the only ones I understand are DC2 and DC5, and that's only because I want a Teg.

Here you go

Sorry but our EP3's at work are very poorly built, fantastic mechanically, but interior wise they leave a lot to be desired, and all 3 are the same and arent thrashed, maybe thats the problem. For a Honda the dash is just cheap and tacky.

I cant understand why Honda went for the torsion beam suspension over the multilink setup on the new CTR, i would have thought the multilink would be far better?

The EK9 type R was only available to the JDM market, so they are rare as rocking horse poo in the UK.

The top spec UK model EK9 was the VTi.

It's fun. Drove an Octavia vRS today as well. Might do a writeup on that.
I'd be interested to read it, as long as it was the proper one (petrol) rather that the smelly one (diesel) :p Actually be interesting to read about either of the new ones.

I thought so, the 5 door VTI is the nicer looking car imho.
