I thought it was meant to be reasonably quiet for the power it has? It sounds like a F-22 with full afterburners on.
Its a turbine fan, its going to be loud? Also in a good case the temps will be less and less noise =/
And as some guy said on youtube, Majority of people use headphones when playing games so the whole noisy cooler is pointless
Must be true if "Some guy on Youtube" said so......
The card is stupidly loud no getting away from it. It's loud as the cooler is not up to the job. AMD cheeped out on the cooler to cut the price.
Waiting for the non reference cards will solve all issues with both the 290 & 290x.
