**Today Only 30/12/2011** Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SSD & Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB 1600M

Wanted an SSD for a while now, done and bought :). Now the long wait till Tuesday for delivery, stupid holidays falling on a Sunday. :(

Really want to purchase one of the M4 128gb SSD's but i want to install it with the Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3 Intel Z68 board which is out of stock :(

Any idea OCUK when this board will be back in so i can purchase both the M4 SSD and this?

Thanks again

I have that board and tbh I would not recomend it. It has some serious cold start issues and re-boots. Has taken me ages to get mine running ok at 4.6ghz...

Thanks for that guys, i have been dwelling between the Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 and the Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3 for a little while and just cant make up my mind which one to setup a new M4 128gb SSD with. Thanks for the advice Moogleys regarding your board, i have read a lot of reviews about both boards and i must admit spec wise there doesn't seem a lot in it. They both have two 6gb Sata III ports and more than enough Sata II ports, i guess the Z68XP-UD3 supports pci 3.0 which may well be more future proof as well as an extra 8x pci lane rather than the Z68AP-D3 extra x4 lane. Im not looking to cross fire at all really so maybe i should just go with the Z68AP-D3 as its cheaper and in stock :)

:) Good to hear!

When you put Slipperz I thought you were asking for slippers haha which isn't in our inventory, then I read the user name :D

OCUK Slippers! I demand them! But they must have backs. :D :D :D.

Do you ever think SSDs will be cheaper than Mechanical HDDs? Ooops meant as cheap as Mech HDDs are today (without the flooding)

I think thats the same ram that was on offer a week or so back for that price! I grabbed some then, and looking at the current standard price I'm sure glad I did.

I don't know much about SSDs, can I ask why do people choose the M4 rather than something like the OCZ Agility 3, which seems to have faster read/write speeds and is cheaper?

The M4 also has better random read speeds, this makes it faster in real world situations.

is there some competition we don't know about where you see how many times in a month you can have the same deal? I've lost count how many times you've had the ram at £30 over the last month, also its not the 1st time the ssd has been that price.
