TODAY ONLY DEALS - 11/08/2010 - Patriot & OCZ!

Not all customers are forum members, so this works out cheaper for them, swings and roundabouts.

Yes. Can't be the cheapest on everything all the time. If we did we'd sell lots and make nothing, lose money or worse go bust.

There are a lot of companies out there today not making any money at all and you may not see some of them around for much longer.

We intend to stick around for a great deal of time yet :)

Thanks for replying.
Do you think that in the future OCUK will offer cheaper postage for a slower service. Such as 3-5 working day delivery?

I don't know. We know that there are cheaper delivery services available, but they are always less reliable and crucially do not look after your packages as well.

Over the last 11 years we have used probably more than a dozen couriers, but overall we have never experienced so few damages and missing consignments as we do today.

Cheap delivery services are cheap for a reason.

Tbf, i find ocuk's delivery charges to be pretty good, particularly considering my location. One place i bought two fans from at £13.00 each charged £14.00 for delivery, needless to say i dont buy anything from them anymore.

I agree with a delivery issue. I like overclockers site with all the good stuff you sell and I look here often but whenever I actually want to buy something, it always works out cheaper for me to go to one competitior who uses CityLink and have free 5-day delivery for orders over £50. Would love to buy from here but can't be asked to make so many posts in a forum to have free delivery or to have access to MM.

Thats not the case though on every single items because even with shipping added on certain lines we will still be cheaper.

Its basically the same old, we can't be cheapest on everything, its simply not possible for any etailor hence why different etailors always have different deals. :)

Couple of points - I'd rather OcUK continued with the current delivery setup even tho its not the cheapest (tho I get it free with forum account :D) as its a lot better than when the likes of city link, dhl, etc. did it.

The Patriot SSD (so far) seems very good as an application drive - I've been using them for several months to load games and programs from - but I strongly do NOT reccomend it for useage as an OS drive on a desktop machine (tho it works a treat as an OS drive in low powered setups like my network storage PC (Atom CPU) I don't store files on the SSD just the OS). I use a few for loading games from and that works a treat too - but I say again they do NOT make good OS drives for a desktop PC thats in regular useage.

The patriot is a great entry level SSD. You get entry level performance at the best entry level price around at OcUK too.

Well OCUK now sell the PSU for the same price today - not on offer.

So I just rang up and swapped the Corsair 650w that I ordered last night for the OCZ modular 700w. So yesterdays 'special offer' wasn't actually special it is now the current price (which is a very good price nevertheless).

Little bit annoying tbh. Now I have the OCZ on order for £66 with free next day delivery.

Should have just offered it with free delivery in the first place. This has made me think twice about the OCUK one day only offers now. Meh.

Glitch in our system, it puts the price up when they sell out. But as yesterdays did not sell out it failed to increase when taken off. This has now been fixed, pricing is back to what it was before the offer. :)

Do I get the power supply sent to me for the price I ordered at?
Order No: OC1061968 (I ordered Corsair 650w but rang up this morning to swap for OCZ 700w).
Thanks for clearing that up :).

If your order was put through then it will indeed be honored. Lets say you got lucky and managed to get your order in within that 15 minute window where the glitched happened. :)
